BrownField Regeneration

During the last 12 years, Sonning has acted for the owners of brown field sites wishing to regenerate these locations usually for residential development. Here are just four projects from our recent activities
West London
A transport company wished to relocate their business. Sonning negotiated an agreement with a national house builder to convert the site to 32 houses and apartments. Planning consent was granted and the project has now been successfully completed.
Dorset
A garage owner moved the business to another location leaving a small 6 acre site within the settlement area for disposal and redevelopment. Sonning arranged the planning permission and the consented site was sold by competitive tender to a local builder who has built 14 attractive terraced dwellings which has transformed the appearance of the location.
Berkshire
A low standard small industrial complex was offered to Sonning to maximise the value and regenerate the site. As ever, we contacted several appropriate house builders to achieve the best price for our clients. A national house builder secured the opportunity to negotiate a planning consent with the local authority for 15 detached houses.
Four dilapidated barns were offered for sale by a sheep farmer as they were no longer fit for purpose. Sonning contacted six specialist barn conversion developers and secured a substantial sale price which was paid after protracted negotiations with the local authority and interested government agencies to secure consent as residential dwellings. The conversions have now been completed and site looks terrific.West London
